Your right, there is no built in backup battery, HOWEVER, it does not hard reset the device because it uses Windows Mobile 5, Which supports Persistent storage, meaning your data is stored and RAM is used for running applications only.

Now I can check serial no. & change SIM without worrying about losing installed programs. I guess the same must be true if the battery is left to completely drain - a definate improvement to WM2003 then. :rolleyes:
