please make this the one GTA exploit thread from now on as alot of questions are flying about and my tutorial should make a very good dummies guide to the GTA exploit for those stuck on 2.01 - 2.6

*NOTE: Rockstar has released a patched version that fixes this exploit. If the serial number on the UMD is different from ULUS 10041 (etc...) then it is patched. (The patched version also requires you to upgrade to 2.6 firmware...*

right lets get started!:

you will need:

A) psp running 2.01 - 2.6 firmware

 GTA Liberty Story Cities.

C) The GTA exploit donwloaded

STEP 1. Go to www.fanjita.org click on 'EBOOT LOADER' on the left near the top and scroll down the section called:

'eLoader v0.97 ("Bock" edition) (updated 4 Apr 2006)'

STEP 2. Downlaod the 'Automated Installer' (highlighted in orange)

STEP 3. Connect your psp to your computer and set it in Usb mode.

STEP 4. Open the Automated Installer, and select yes and next until you get to the part where you need to Tick certain options.

you should have the following selected:

GTA Version

European GTA (select USA if you are running a us version)

Default menu

EVERYTHING else should not be unchecked.

STEP 5. Click next and install it to your psp's memory stick (probably drive G:\)

STEP 6. Disconnect your psp load your GTA game normally.

STEP 7. Press pause and load the save with the picture of 2 bottle caps with 'Superbock' and 'eloader' written on them.

STEP 8. Load the save file adn wait a minute, you should then get tot he main homebrew screen with a picture of a white psp and a blue background.

IF YOU HAVE GOT THIS FAR SUCCESFULLY, READ ON TO THE SNES TUTORIAL. IF NOT MAKE SURE YOU AHVE FOLLOWED THESE STEPS EXACTLY.

Snes Emulator.

STEP 1. Download this snes emulator

http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/cfi...?0,0,0,0,4,1093

STEP 2. Extract the folder called 'uo_Snes9x_002y32'

and place it in G:\PSP\GAME

STEP 3. Take a snes rom from your collection. i suggest super mario all stars as i know this works and i own the original, And place it in:

G:\PSP\GAME\uo_Snes9x_002y32

STEP 4. Disconnect your psp, load GTA and open the superbock save file. Then you should see SNES9X in your list of homebrew.

STEP 5. Open snes9x and you should see your snes roms (i can see super mario all stars). Open it by pressing 'O'

TECHNICALLY, YOUR DONE. BUT YOU WILL NOTICE THAT ALOT OF THEM ARE VERY SLOW AND SLUGGISH. HRES HOW TO SORT THEM OUT.

Load a snes roms from your list of roms and push the anologue stick left.

on the menu, where it says PSP Clock: Set it to 333mhz

also set Auto Frameskip to ON.

THATS IT. your roms should now be full speed and working properly (if it needs to set the frameskip to above 2 the sound may screw up a bit ever now and then, but the game should run fine.

NOTE: USE THIS TUTORIAL AT YOUR OWN RISK. I HAVE USED THOSE DOWNLOADS AND THEY WORK FINE FOR ME BUT I HOLD NO RESPONSIBILITY IF ANY PSP's GET BRICKED RUNNING HOMEBREW.

ALSO, ONLY USE SNES ROMS THAT YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL GAMES FOR, OTHERWISE, ITS ILLEGAL.

Have fun playing those old classics!.
