Syncing contacts between Outlook 2002 & C600

I have just taken delivery of a replacement c600 (hot key had broken) & have set up a new partnership with my PC (XP). I've configured the partnership to sunc cotacts & favourites only. the favourite sync but the contacts don't. I have even moved contacts to another folder and deleted all but one in 'contacts to no avail.

Active sync (4.2) doesn't give any indication of the number of contacts when syncing , it just displays a tick next to contacts.

I have used 'fix & repair' on outlook, checked my FW settings in Zone Alarm, removed any 'catorgry' info from the one contact.

I've looked in wcesmgr.log and it mentions

'09/25/2006 20:28:30.031 WARNING: Object type 'WorksContacts' is not installed on the device'

Any other suggestions?

Unplug the phone and delete the partnership then reconnect and create a new partnership.

See if that fixes the problem.
