Guest notaliberal Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 You need to app unlock your phone more. I had to both 1) install the SurrealNetworks AppUnlock and 2) do the registry edit as follows HKLM/Security/Policies/Policies values 00001001 should equal 1 00001005 should equal 40 exit out of reg editor and reboot. Now you shouldn't even have to re-install power control, it should just work. The app unlocking is setting some permissions somewhere... Good luck, Jeff
Guest dallasnights Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 OMG I did what you said to do now the phone is locked When I reboot take out battrery and reboot it lock son the Windows mobile first blue screeen HELP MEEEEEEE I cant get to menus or anyting Pleaseeeeee
Guest notaliberal Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I have a strong feeling the lockup has nothing to do with the app unlocking... It happens to me on occasion. All I can do it let it sit at whatever screen it gets stuck at, and it eventually comes around and finishes booting up. Often times after this happens, once it finishes booting, my storage card will be renames storage card2 and I have to do the whole ":renaming the storage card" routine. Seach here if you're not familiar with that, should it happen once you're booted up again. So, let it sit. Sometimes it has taken as long as 10 minutes for mine to get "unstuck" - but it always does. Let us know if it doesn't... Good luck

Guest notaliberal Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Can i do a HARD RESET and just make it like I never loaded any software or made any changes to the Registry please help me I just got the phone less than 4 days ago and I am depreseed Absolutely, you can do a hard reset, or you can boot it up into bootloader (hold camera key while powering up) and reflash with the sstock (or newer) firmware. If you do wither though, I'm told you should fully cahrge your battery first. Apparently whatever level it's at when you reflash/reset it what it'll think is full. Sounds a little questionable, but better safe than sorry. But seriously, unless you did something wrong, that red edit should not have caused this. I've not only done it myself on my T-mo SDA, but so have jst about everybody else here... So, you may want to pull the battery, wait 15 seconds, put it back in, and boot it up again. If it still gets stuck, let it sit again for 10 minutes (no longer is really necessary). If it still doesn't boot. then reflash or reset. THat's just my advice because iknow what a pain it is to re-customize everything after a hard reset or reflash. Good luck,
Guest notaliberal Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 What ever happened here? Did you reset, or did it come back eventually? Always good to update your threads to close them out... Hope everything worked out.
Guest dallasnights Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 YUP After 2 days figured out how to RESET that was all it took You click the two Smart KEYS hold em down, then click power key 1 sec and wala Thanks Everyone
Guest thorin3125 Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I know this thread is way old, but I'm having the same problem with tornado. Did you ever get it to work after you did the reset?
