C600 Shows Different Device Names Syncing with Different PC's

I'm struggling to get Activesync v4.5 Beta (tried 4.1 and 4.2) to sync my C600 with my work laptop after it was rebuilt with a new hard disk, although it continues to sync with my home desktop perfectly.

I notice that the C600 shows up with a different device name on the two different PC's. Is this part of the problem, do I need to resolve it? how do I resolve it?

I've followed the threads on Activesync problems without success, Any other suggestions or links to try? Is there anywhere I can take the laptop and C600 and pay to get it sorted?

Don't think the name issue is your problem. I sync at work with a different name to what it syncs with at home.

I am only using 4.2 but I can't see this type of item would have changed much.

Perhaps you could tell us a little more about the problem you are having syncing with the work PC?

It takes forever on "looking for changes" then throws the error "Synchronisation cannot be completed successfully..........................."

Then run the trouble shooter which comes up with the error code which registers on MS website as the port 990 problem, I've tried taking down the firewall (BlackIce) completely and making sure the windows firewall is inactive but still no success.
