Cingular internet options

I live in the US. I currently go thorugh Cingular for my phone service. Their internet offerings seem a bit on the stingy side.

The special smartphone internet packages are $10/month extra for 5MB or $25/month extra for unlimited. I cant justify $25 a month, as I pay that for my home internet, but how much exactly can you do with 5MB? It seems like that much would be used up only after a few minutes of searching forums between classes. Am i looking at this wrong? does anyone think this is worth the money?

I use Cingular too... I have the "Media Max 200 Bundle" which costs $20 a month. It includes unlimited internet access and 200 SMS/MMS messages. This works well for me because I send at least 100 SMS messages a month and I use at least 30 MB of data a month. I'd say bite the bullet and get the unlimited package, and worry no more about whether you've reached the limit and the high overage charges.

yea i think its just wat u said there. wich is really a rip off. especially if lets say u were listening to streaming radio.. u could use up that 5mb in like 3 minutes?

I don't know where you got the $25/month, but the SmartPhone Unlimited Connect plan is $19.99 from Cingular. Of course, this only applies to the 2125 and 3125.
