Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Hi all, ive just got this nifty thing set up and i dial my 0208 number then i have to press 1 then normally 324 but i cant press 1 till at least 5 secs after the number is dialled (the message has to finish) and then press 324 2 secs after that. How does one make a contact on the Vario II which dials 0208 xxxxxxxx then waits 5 secs then dials 1 then waits 2 secs then dials 324 without me having to do all this everytime my self. As it is the same numbers and extensions everytime!! any help appreciated JEREMY
Guest Confucious Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 IIRC commas insert delays - not sure how long though so try 0208 xxxxxxxx,,, 1,324 adjusting the number of commas until you get it right. I could be wrong.

Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Ok that works and doesnt work I found that if i dial 0208 xxxxxxx ,,,1 then it dials 1 after the right amount of time. BUT the 1 DTMF tone is too short so is not picked up by the other end. If i press 1 on the keypad the dtmf tone is a lot longer about 3-4X longer and so is picked up the other end. is there a way of making the tone longer for the press 1 then press 342 etc etc JEREMY

Am I missing something? from what I read in this thread, using the standard contacts app. u can set up the above. I dont need a different piece of software right?
Guest Sp00k Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 To dial "Amount of Credit Remaining" on T-Mobile, via a C600, I use the phone 'number' 150ppppp112 This gives me a five second delay before it dials the 112 component of the number, enough time for the lady to stop yakking and for the input prompt sequence to start... I don't know how universal the use of 'p' (pause) is but I seem to remember using it a long time ago on a Nokia 7650, when dialling Orange services, so it may be worth experimenting with. I just tried setting the number as 150w112 and discovered that after dialling 150, it waits untill I press the 'action' key before it dials 112... You learn something new every day, eh? Sp00k...

Apparently there is a registry key setting for DTMF on or off. I might be able to dig it out for you although changing it doesn't make much difference? Haven't confirmed that for myself though.
