The remote party has ended this connection

Never had this problem while I was using the stock T-Mobile ROM for my SDA. However, now on the imate sp5m 2.6.33 ROM, I get this anytime I try to surf the net after having connected active sync (cable or bluetooth), or if I change anything in the GPRS settings.

"The remote party has ended this connection"

The only way to get connected again is to reboot, or just go into the comm manager and click the phone off, then back on after a couple seconds.

I have long ago did the reg edit to stop ending the edge session when you hit the end key. If I don't connect to active sync, or change the GPRS settings, the connection can stay up for days (not that you can run a smartphone for days without needing a reboot!!) without any problems. I'ts only after those two events that this happens.

So, anybody know what's going on and how to stop it?

It's SO annoying to have to keep clicking the phone off/on!! :rolleyes:

Update:

Apparently this is being caussed by the beta version of AutoKeylock I have installed.

Considering how much I appreciate the "auto unlock keys on incoming call" function of the newest beta, I'd rather deal with toggling flight mode on/off to restore the data connection.

The program author is looking into it for the next release.
