2 lines,same carrier, need help to find out which one is active?

I have 2 lines from the same provider, and carrier name stays the same. (actually is says line 1, when u turn on the phone, if you change it with flightmode and activate the 2nd line, it still says line 1, if u restart the phone and enter the 2nd lines pin it says line2 and the same goes again.) So I have to go thru some procederes to find out which line is active at that time. So far I have found solutions to all my problems here at modaco :rolleyes: hope it happens once more :(

I have mpx220 European 1.49rom, and 3.51 asian rom. (couldn't decide which one to use)

can anyone help with this ??? it's killing me!!!!

Normally only the actual active line is displayed.

This display can also be device/network dependant. I know Orange have the ability to have two lines but then they also enable the device to use this feature.

I am not sure the MPX220 is capable of swapping between two lines without having to reboot the device as you have found.

Try pressing and holding the # key, this can sometimes swap lines.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have problem with switching lines (can't do it with # key though), but I'm using flight mode with a nice script (which I found in modaco forum). I just need to know which line is active at that moment. I don't think it is possible but who know :rolleyes:

surprisingly my Turkcell line (Turkey) displays TR TURKCELL LINE 1. how ever when I switch to my second line using flight mode it doesn't display LINE 2 :) after a reboot if the second pin is entered than it displays TR TURKCELL LINE 2. (with line 2 I can make free calls to my gf. so all this is for my gf :( )
