Does activesync restore all phone settings after hard reset.

If I hard reset the M3100 will active sync restore all the user mods I've made like adding ring tones and other notifications.

If it doesnt is there a backup facility anywhere to restore all these and excel files etc

Fraid not - it will only restore what it synced originally (emails, tasks, contactc etc)

Microsoft removed the backup facility from activesync 4.? for wm5 devices (!) so you will need a third party backup utility to back up settings etc.

Files CAN be backuped up/restored with AS if you keep them in the "my documents" foder and enable "files" in AS.
