I've been trying to connect my vario to my wireless router, all appear to have gone smooth, however the vario appears to have given itself an IP address, one that the router doesn't appear to recognise! The router has DCHP turned off (my housemates Linux machines don't seem to like it).

So how do I (if it's possible) manually allocate an IP address to my device.

TIA

Use the MAC address and allocate an internal static ip to the MAC of your Vario

Right, I've set up the network, but still can't seem to surf the web from my device.

I've set up the IEEE 802.11 adaptor and the NE2000 ethernet driver (just to make sure). The MAC address and IP are okay, as is the subnet mask and the DNS. Although for some reason the signal strength is very low, even when just a few meters away from the router (with the settings set to best signal rather than best battery).

But I still cannot get access to the internet! my vario says it's connected to the network, and doesn't report any errors.

Have I missed somthing really obvious (i usually do), or is it my device thats being un co-operative?

I have been testing by turning off the 'phone' so only the wifi signal can be used.

sorry if this a bit rambling, but i'ver had a really terrible day at work.

Ricardo.
