Need help with outlook

So I just got the 2125 for my wife, and she is really into Outlook. I wanted to have her outlook messages sent to her phone via the internet as well as to her computer at home. Anyways, I set up the pop3 account (yahoo) and it seemed to be a separate account than the outlook that was synched up earlier. It ended up downloading over a thousand messages.

My wife told me she had her outlook setup where it could delete messages and not delete them from her yahoo account. that way they stay saved. When I started deleting the messages from the pop3 account on the phone it deleted the messages from her yahoo. Is there a way to delete the messages from the phone and not delete them from the yahoo account? And, is there a way to have the outlook account that is synched with Active Synch also send and receive? How is this done. PLEASE help, anyone?

What you need to do is in the email setup options you can choose how much of the message to download, so if you set it to only download say the first 1k you get the message header and some of the text depending on the content. This way the message will still stay on the server until you download it fully on the PC.
