SPV M3100 Help needed

Hi can anyone help me, I have an Orange SPV M3100 that I have had for about a month now, I have a couple of problems. Firstly whenever I enter a new contacts details i.e John Smith it is always displayed in the contact list as Smith, John. I have tried every possiblity to change this without success. Also if my phone is in 'standby' mode and I turn it on it always displays the last time that I used the phone on the clock display i.e it could be 5.15 but I may have last used the phone at 5.00 so 5.00 is displayed briefly and then the clock changes after a few seconds to the current time.

Can't help with the 2nd problem. However the built in Contacts program will only sort by default on Surname, forename. You can change the way each contact sorts in outlook on your desktop and the PPC will pick that up when you sync. I use another program on my M3100 for Contacts etc.
