MDA T Mobile Pocket PC

I ahve a MDA, pocket pc, and keep getting a warning message telling me that my back up battery is low and to change it or charge it. When I use the charger the back up charges as does the main battery, but the back up battery discharges it self fully before the main batery.

Do i need to change the back up battery?

If so how do I do this?

If not does anyone know how to solvethis problem?
