MDAIII with wired GPS Cradle

Hi All,

A friend of mine has a T-mobile MDAIII (the large one with the pull down keyboard). He has also bought a cradle with a built in GPS device which can connect to TomTom 5.

He cant connect to the GPS receiver, TomTom 5 complains, yet when I used my MDA III with the same software and creating a standard serial connection it all worked fine.

Apparently when reading through threads, his serial port may not be setup or not working correctly, his TomTom works perfectly with my BT Gps receiver

Does anyone know what may be causing the problem.??
