I switched the ROM on my Cingular 2125 to the I-Mate SP5 ROM and it won't allow me to install the ClearVue version that came on my install CD. Does someone have a link to the version that works on the I-Mate version? I checked HTC's site and they only have it for the US version which I feel is the same as what I already have.

Well, it's true that you can't install ClearVue from the 2125 cd if you changed to the I-Mate ROM. However, if you had originally installed Clearvue to your storage card prior to switching ROMs and didn't uninstall it, then Clearvue is still on your storage card and completely functional. You just need to find the clearvue folder in your Storage Card/program files folder, find the 4 executables in there and make shortcuts to them, and move those shortcuts to your Windows/Start Menu folder. Then you can access the programs no sweat. If, however, you did uninstall them, then you're out of luck unless you change back to a Cingular ROM.

you could of course unzip the cab to a director and manually change all the file names and extensions according to the .xml file so that it'd work.... you'll be there a while tho.... there are something in the region of 130 files

Thanks but unfortunately I didn't install it prior to the change. Looks like I'm SOL for the time being.......that is unless I get really adventurous and try Phil's option  It's not a necessity but I though I'd see if it could be done. Thanks guys.

I have it installed on my SDA, installed it before I went to the imate rom.

How about I zip the contents of that directory and email them to you? I think you could then put the whole directory onto your storage card and it should function.

Right?

Let me know if you'd like to try that. You'll have to PM me your email address or something, or I could PM you my home PC's webpage address and set it up so you can DL it from there. I only get around 30K upload speed though...

Let me know,

Jeff
