Guest flodis79 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 i did some change in the settings in my qtek 8310 and now the menu choices have changed from digits to letters in choosing the different options. instead of being able to go to the different menu choices by pressing the digit buttons, it's now displaying shortcuts with underlined letters but i don't know how to go to them.. how do i change back to digits in the menus?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 how did you change it that way in the first place. Sounds like youre using settings meant for QWERTY keyboard phones like the Q?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 There are a few reasons as to why this happens but it appears to be related to pairing the phone with certain Bluetooth devices like the Sony Ericsson headset. To fix this you need to edit the following location in the registry, (Note: You may need to delete the pairing first before you do the following.) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Microsoft\Shell Change the HasKeyBoard value to 0 Reboot phone and everything should be back to normal It does appear that this registry entry is actually created on pairing of the said device as it is not shown as standard.

If the HasKeyBoard registry key is not available, simply create a new DWORD Value key and set it to 0. There's no need to remove any pairing nor reboot
