Guest v00n Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I have been left in the lurch by Orange. My contract with them finished on the 5th and I now can't get through to their customer services with my old number. I am now stuck out in Luxembourg with a locked and blocked SPV C600, which they promised me I could buy a PAYG SIM for over here, from one of their roaming partners (Tango). I now can't software-unlock the phone in order to run an unblocking utility as it seems I must be connected to the network in order to do this. Is there any way out of this predicament other than waiting till I get back to England or buying a new phone? Thanks for any help on this.... Vaughan
Guest martin Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Do you have a USB cable and access to PC/Internet ? If so, you can use the PC's internet connection for the phone. On the phone go to Settings-Connections make 'Internet connection: Pass through connection'. You should be able to application/SIM unlock the phone.

Yes, thanks I tried this, but other errors occurred... seems the SIM unblock software isn't optimised for WM5 yet. I have ended up paying Orange for the unblock code, as it's the cheapest option.
