Guest mcwarre Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Hi all, I want to amplify the output of my pc (normal output isn't high enough) for both headphones (sennheiser HD265) and speakers. Any suggestions???? Cheers!! :(
Guest ghm101 Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 (edited) Here is a cheap amp that’s available, saw it on boing boing a while back. apparently, even audiophiles can’t believe how good it is. http://www.boingboing.net/2005/09/29/thirt...k_toy_amp_.html A review http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/t-amp_e.html end user opinion http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/t-amp_opinions_e.html Other Reviews http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/sonicimpact/t.html http://www.audioreview.com/cat/amplificati...rx.aspx#reviews Cheers Greg Edited October 9, 2006 by ghm101

Guest mcwarre Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I have HD265's too - mainly for work, i love em! go to richersounds and buy a hifi amp there. That's interesting as I have exactly the same headphones but the volume is low (I have checked the pc volume and WMP as well :) )
Guest pisquee Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I mainly use them for work as a sound engineer, the headphone amp in a mixing desk is bigger than that of a laptop. Although using them with my laptop, I never have had problems with them being too quiet. As for a hifi amp, Richer have an Eltax one for 50 quid, or pay a little more and get a cambridge one
