Guest bennish Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 I will try mine later, but Voda handsets are not generally locked. P so, a current 750v (only available from voda) wouldn't be locked at all? btw paul... where's that big review? I've been checking every morning when I get in to work

Guest bennish Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 (edited) telstra (the main aussie telecom) has finally launched a 'nextG' service so for once i'm actually interested in higher download speeds... the 750v supports all that? sweet. not so much interested in video calling etc tho. boyo69, thanks for that info. It's nice to hear those things, and that the switch is to silent, not vibrate. I actually removed the vibrating motor from my wizard so i could use the hold-button to switch to silent. i *hate* vibrate. The long stylus will be welcome... i'm using the munchkin one from the htc wizard (of oz, get it?). although full sd on the treo would be nice. Try taking out your camera's sd card and using it in ur pda... switch around adapters... look like an idiot... and try getting any kind of minisd add on (other than wifi). Paul we're all waiting with baited breath for your lovely review... By the way, boyo69, considered unlocking it? If you do, would be interested in hearing about it. Also wanna know if that little vodafone badge comes off neatly. Would like to be able to change the blue casing, too... Edited October 10, 2006 by bennish
Guest zen123 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Played with one for about 15mins yesterday. First impressions are that it is really great size, not too big not too small. The rubberised coating makes it feel safe in the hands unlike the M3100 I have which I find too slippery & always afraid I'll drop it. Also the blue colour of the case is a nice change from the more common silver & grey. The keyboard has quite small buttons but they're quite raised & spacing is adequate so it is fine to use. The performance is generally very good. Calls come in loud & clear, the speaker has good volume but not as loud as the M3100, but then it doesn't distort like it either, the menus are quite snappy. Overall a very impressive device but I won't be getting one because 1/ the screen is too small 2/ no wifi (for me wifi is a must) 3/ I've been into 8 different Voda shops & not one had it for free on
