Guest patp Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 When I do a speed test using the 3G connection, I get 534kb/s. The same speed test on the Vario2 using my home wifi connection gives me 800kb/s. Yet my laptop gets 4000kb/s. Why's this? Can the Vario2 hardware just not support high speed networking? Or is it a configuration issue?

Or is it a configuration issue? Could depend on the test? If it's an app, or involves loading various images which puts strain on PIE, then the Vario's slower CPU might cause most of the delay. [d]
Guest Dik... Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 I have a similar problem with my Vario II Using http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1 my on WiFi my tytn gives me a pretty constant reading of 1300-1400 kbit/s (at around 6s d/l time) when using PIE and NetFront whilst my laptop gives a result saying it's too fast with d/l time around 1.9s That's a very big difference, a factor of 3. Are you sure that it's the processor ? <_<
