Light turn on even phone is locked

Hi all,

I am using dopod 577w. Everytime I locked my phone after used it. The reason is to avoid accidentally press on the keys and safe the battery usage.

Recently I have upgraded my ROM to latest at the Dopod service center.

My question is, whenever I touch the joystick the screen light will turn on, even my phone is locked. Is this a ROM bug or my phone setting is incorrect.

Please advice. Thank you very much.
