What GPS device do you have?

Have you actually setup a relationship between your M3100 and the device?

If so have you renamed it as GPS?

its the official tomtom one, and i have paired it up using bluetooth.. still no luck

Not sure if this is a problem with the version of tomtom you are running, but I've just bought tomtom navigator 6 with the proper tomtom gps and had no problem with syncing it with bt and using it.

After pairing up the GPS, did you add the outgoing serial port for it?

Are you trying to use the mobile version you used on your C500? if so it's not designed for the PocketPC.

You need to buy TomTom Navigator for the PocketPC.

It comes on Mini SD doesnt it? I take it you copy to PC then transfer to a Micro SD card? I have bought a 2GB Micro card, 1GB loaded with Music. Is it ok to mix music and Tom-Tom on same card?

No probs. Make sure that you copy it direct to the root of the other sd card though

Hi, when you say c500, do you mean Orange SPV c500?

If so, the c500 is the TomTom version for Smartphones. You now need TomTom Navigator to use on the Hermes,

@ meshio

You should not need to initiate a route for the GPS to kick in.

As it's a brand new unit it can take a while to actually lock in to the satellites for the first time.

TomTom 6 has always been compatable with the PocketPC. It is the Windows Smartphone it is not comaptable with.
