Guest jcostantino Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I've heard that the 2.0 beta of ORB (http://www.orb.com/getorb2/) can act as a sort of proxy and stream them to the media player but I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure its been mentioned a dozen plus times here but Orb lets you stream your videos/music/pictures to anything connected to the internet. It recompresses on the fly to stream to low speed devices like phones and does a fairly good job. If you have EDGE or better, the video is pretty watchable. You'll need to have a reasonably fast machine that is always on and connected to high speed internet to use it. Guest jcostantino Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I just messed around with it a bit and I can add a RSS feed of YouTube but it seems to only work on the desktop and of course is limited to whatever the RSS feed is providing so it doesn't seem like an option either way. As far as I can tell, the limiting factor is that we don't have Flash Player 9 for PIE. That's the only limitation and who knows if that's even a priority. Maybe now that Adobe is in the picture there might be some movement on it. yea i have orb and its great but what im more interested in is like going to www.break.com and being able to watch there video's
