C600 MMS download probs

Hi Guys

Little infuriating issue. My C600 wont download any MMS. I recieve the message headers but the phone reports that it cannot download, and the will remain in the inbox.

How do i resolve this!!

And i also get the message 'There is not enough free space for messageing download ...'

i have deleted old MMS, emptied the IE cache, instaled the Card Cach.CAB and emptied loads of space on the device and storage card .. but still no joy! .....

Am having exactly the same problem, and have loads of storage space both on phone and on 1GB storage card.

I had the same problem.. there is stupid thing in the registry of the programe, that wants some 2 megs of free space on the built in memory.. there was topic on this around here, but i dont remember what registry was it...

I had the same problem, I read somewhere you need 4mb storage space, and it worked. Anybody know if this is sorted out in the rom update?

Just had this problem for the first time this morning.

Go into Messaging, MMS and hit Menu.

Select 7 Download Message and/or/then 9 Send Receive and you should download your pictures.

I have no idea which option/combination worked :)

I have a similar problem with my Imate sp5m it neither sends mms nor recieves whereas gprs works fine as per setting of gprs/mms provided by my service provider, but mms is not responsive at all.phone has enough memory free

I thought I'd bump this up by saying I'm having the same problem too.

Can't send and receive MMS, been through all the settings, went to the Orange website and checked all the settings, and still no joy.

And there is more than 4meg free, I've just flashed to the latest ROM.

Now then all,

This is how I managed to fix the problem, dunno if it will work for you guys though:

-Scroll through to file manager, and once in click menu and option 8 to see your phone memory info. You'll need 4 MB free in your storage memory to download MMS.

-To free up as much memory as possible, you'll have to empty your SMS and MMS deleted items folders(remember the phone always stores items you delete in this folder); and then sent items, drafts and inboxes if necessary.

-You can also empty your internet explorer cache (mine added up to about 3 mb), by scrolling down to windows, then profiles in your file manager; and then emptying your cookies and temporary internet folders.
