T-Mobile MDA Vario EDGE Technology

Hi All,

Now when I bought this phone, not only was the MDA Vario II released a month later, but it said it had EDGE technology in the phone information, now I have done the recent ROM update, but havent really noticed any diffence... Can anyone tell me when the new software with EGDE technology will be released.

I didn't think T-Mobile used EGDE in the UK? Where are you using the phone? It certainly supports the faster 3G and HDASP.

Yes there are using EDGE, because the MDA Vario II uses it... whats this about the other connections, are they faster the GPRS

I don't think their UK transmitters use EDGE - even if the phone is capable of using it.

3G is around 10x faster than GPRS, HSDPA (still rolling out) currently gives up to about 1.4 mps compared with 3G's 384 kps...

How would I change the settings

3G shows when you're in an area covered by a 3G transmitter. To get HSDPA enable (for where there is coverage) you need to ring Customer Services.
