Guest flodis79 Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I have tried the wm5 client from www.viovo.com, installed one client on the phone and another on the pc and trying to call between them, but doesnt work... Text chat doesnt work either.. Is it temporarily down? The online status is updated on the computer though, when I am loggin in on the phone, but it's almost one minute late after I log in/out.. Would be interested in others' experiences.. Looks like an exciting client :rolleyes:
Guest flodis79 Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 I'm attaching the email I just sent to Viovo support regarding the problems I have with it. Has anyone got this application to work properly on smartphone? I'm having problems using the Viovo Windows client and connecting to a Viovo user on a smartphone. Both contacts show up as online on the respective clients, but when I'm trying to call from smartphone to pc, nothing happens, and when calling from pc to smartphone, it says incoming call from x" but when I click accept it wont connect the call. I press End call instead and after than the telephone starts ringing again. Also the text chat doesnt work two-way, messages from pc to smartphone shows up in the chat window on the phone, very instant, after less than two seconds afte being sent from the pc, but text messages in the other direction (phone to pc) are never displayed. On the smartphone, if I click on the house button, i cannot go back to the application with back button (arrow pointed to the left). I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the smartphone and pc clients twice, but still the same problems occur. The Viovo client on the smartphone doesnt show up in the task manager so I cannot stop the application from running. The last point I want to make is that it's not possible to erase characters in the tex chat on the smartphone; the phone will hang up, you have click the house button and then trying to go back with the left arrow button it will not bring me back to the application. In this case, you have to restart the phone to be able to startup the program since it cannot be stopped/ terminated via task manager. I don't know whether I am the only on having all these problems but please have a look at this and see what the reason and explanation can be.
