Guest thewitney Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Hi, The problem is as follows: I have put a wav sound file in the windows - rings file. This is the second wav file I have placed in there. When in the settings / sounds and notifications folder I click on the sounds for phone - incoming call and my new wav sound is located there. I select it but when I try and play it to check it, nothing. I then tried ringing the phone and a windows defalt sound plays. Now the other wav file I have placed on the phone inexactly the same way plays without error? When in the windows folder, If I click on the sound, windows media opens up and the clip plays with no problem. It's only when I try it as a ringtone it plays up. Any ideas? Cheers
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 My guess is that it is in the wrong format. Copy the file back to your PC and load it up into Windows Sound Recorder which is in Programs, Accessories, Entertainment. Then Save As.. PCM format. The other settings will vary the quality and volume.
