ARGH!

I have an Orange SPV M3100 and have been using it now for about 4 weeks without any problems however last night I went to sleep without making any changes or whatever and this morning... it doesn't work! I turn it on, I get prompted to enter my 4 digit simple device password, I input the four digits... then it just freezes!

It doesn't shake to say I put it in wrong or whatever, it just does nothing. The OK button in the top right is non-functional as is pretty much everything else!

I don't mind having to d oa hard reset however the problem is my data! It is really important I get all my contacts off the device as I have over 400 contacts that I have no previous backup of.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or know what it might be? Any help is GREATLY appreciated...

Just after reading some other posts I notice that most peoples lockups are due to the use of a memory card however I have no memory card installed. Thought I may as well point this out first...

long shot - install activsync n outlook etc.. wen u come to pairing windows will ask u for the key.. try it that way :S maybe it will sync data and then u can hard reset?

Dont know if it will work just a long shot?

Occaisionally ActiveSync will ask me for the password when I connect the phone (most of the time it just doesn't acknowledge the fact I've connected the phone) but when it does ask for the password, if I put an incorrect password in it immediately tells me I got it wrong but when I put the correct one in it just hangs and does nothing, merely sticks on the "Connecting" screen and after a while it disconnects!

I really need those contacts back :-(

Any help?
