Guest hobsons choice Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Hi i was wondering if anyone could make a small app that would sit an icon on the title bar, (in all programs) that when started would open up a drop down menu with program shortcuts (icons) that the user could define? I thought it might be helpfu to have immediate access to word, calculator etc....without trawling through menus or using a big footprint plugin/like pocketmagic etc.... any ideas or feedback welcome, thanks Callum

Or are you wanting a larger selection? Plug in wise iLauncher isn't massive.
Guest hobsons choice Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Hi richard, yeah i was hoping to be able to choose a larger amount of apps than the 7 on the start menu, iv'e tried ilauncher but its still the same thing of running through the menus. I like the iauncher today plugin that shows documents as well, so maybe if the app could do that. So maybe app could have the configurability of the ilauncher today plugin(apps/docs) but but accessed by an icon on the top bar for ease of use in alll running appcations. Hope that makes it a little clearer br callum
Guest drummer Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 (edited) With iLauncher you can hold the stylus on the top right of the screen (where the close button usually is) and launch any programme/doc whilst in any running programme. Sounds like that's what you are after. Apologies if I've misunderstood your request. Although I don't think you can have icons and there are 2 extra taps (than the start menu) to launch an app. But it seems pretty close to your needs. Edited October 15, 2006 by drummer
Guest hobsons choice Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 @drummer Yeah i think i'm just impatient, as your screen shot shows you need to do 3 clicks, i was thinking just the sngle click would open up the first drop down menu like the ilauncher that says close close all etc... but instead would have a list of the apps shortcuts you had configured to be on there, so much simpler i think. br callum p.s would anyone else like a simple app like this?
