I think it depends on your operator. With Tmobile you can set it on your account.

is there a quick option though? on my old symbian phone my number was always showing.. however, there was an option to hide caller id for "next call only". (my network provider does support hiding caller id, but this requires me to input a code, which is very cumbersome)..

is this possible with a pocket pc?

thanks again.

Go to Settings/Phone/Caller ID you can then choose to provide your caller ID to everyone or no one

thanks awarner.. i should have mentioned that i am aware of this feature.

what i am asking is; is there a quick way of hiding my caller id. the above method is quite cumbersome.. and i only want to hide my id for the "next call" only.

i know most motorola's have this function.

thanks again.

Hi fudicator.

To hide your number quickly you can prefix the number with 141, e.g. if you need to dial"1234567", you should dial "1411234567". It means you need to type in the number first, but I find it useful.

Hope this helps.

thanks neekos. i should have also mentioned that i was aware of that too (although in australia we use 1831 as a prefix). the only problem with that method is that you cant put it infront of numbers in your contact list without editing them.

there has to be a easier way. motorolas method was simple. u simply selected "hide my number for next call only". that was it.

is anyone aware of an addin or application that adds this funtion to the phone dialing options?

thanks again.
