sync'ing music

Is anyone else having problems syncing music on the M3100. All worked fine until last week, now if I sync via WMP11 it freezes after about 4 tracks (and freezes the phone in the process), if I sync via MediaMonkey, nothing happens although MM says it has done it but you know it hasn't because it thinks it took 5 seconds to send over about 1GB of music.

The only way to get any music onto the storage card is to use explorer... however this only gets over about half the music, the rest just seems to vanish in the wide blue yonder. I also have to ensure that Resco Explorer 2005 is not running or the phone freezes and only a soft reboot will fix the problem.

I can't find anything on Resco's website admitting guilt. I was going to hard reset the phone and start again from scratch but that seems a drastic step.

Any advice is greatfully received.

Well, this is getting weird. I hard reset the phone and things have improved but still not fixed. I reloaded all my software (Resco Explorer, Pocket Informant, Skype, Truebar, Fizz Weather) and ran the WM11 sync again. It turns out that if I open the main battery window the sync runs smoothly. If I open any other program (even just the text message window), the sync runs for a few songs and then freezes again until I close the window and then it works again.

At least I have a work around but I would love it if any clever sod out there can fathom out what the heck is going on.

I have the same problem with my vario2. I assumed it was my ibm laptop as it has a bit of shock detection software that freezes the HDD and assumed it interupted the transfer. However as you are another person with the same problem i guess not.

I also have to hard reset as the vario 2 is completely locked including the flashing LED

My old laptop though does have usb1 not 2 so that could be a problem. What has toy pc got usb1 or 2
