Guest daemonsan Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 I've looked around and read sme encoder reviews and I am wondering what the best encoder to use on my 2125; is it: H.263, MPEG-4, or Motion-JPEG AVI? After watching the campus prosletyizers and filming some I want somtehing that has the best quality, and I'm not too terribly worried about size, although uncompressed would be a little too much  Also if none of these are good is there another I could get and how would I install it? Oh, and is there a way to keep activesync fro mcompletely filing my meory card, like eaving a 50mb buffer free that I could then use for pics and videos?

I use windows movie maker to convert movies to smartphone/ ppc friendly format. Theres an option for "ppc fullscreen 320x240 2##kb/s" he quality is acceptable and the file size is good too. Best of all, if you have windows XP you have the app! Not sure if I get the AS question, what is it suncing thats filling up your card? Do you have it syncing media?

It appears I wasnt clear enough  I mean for encoding from the phones internal camera as video, which would be the best encoder. And yes I have activesync put mp3s on my phone but i dont know of a setting where i can say only put x amount of music on the phone, it just fills up all available space.

However you should look at coolcamera link is here it'll allow you to record in much higher resolutions than the default app. hth gr
