Guest pazookie Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 I came across this by accident and cant seem to find it again but is it possible to just switch out the mainboard of the Tmobile SDA and put it in the Cingular 2125 shell? Im considering getting an sda just for the wifi and flashing it with the 2125 or sp5m rom when its in the 2125 frame is thats possible? Any insight?
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I have flashed a SDA with a sp5m rom, then went back to the TMo US rom afterwards. I like it better. Dont try flashing the SDA with the 2125 rom though. The registry is different because of the Wifi addition. I think you might brick it if tried. As far as an SDA in a 2125 case, I did it just for kicks. The Mobo's are the same size, same size screen, no problems. I thought there would be an issue with the buttons layout ,but no such problem either since there is no music buttons!
Guest niacin65 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Yes, it possible. I did it. There is a thread on this somewhere but I cant seem to find it at the moment. fluffcat1 gave a lot of good advice on doing this. I like the form factor of the 2125 better, so I did the motherboard switch. BTW, I also transfered the screen with the motherboard.
