I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario II.

It's great, but has been crashing rather a lot recently. I haven't downloaded any funny apps, but use it only for email, browsing and have some docs on the Micro SD card.

As it's quite new I was hoping that these were the causes of the bugs and that there'd be a firmware update for the hardware and perhaps patch for the O/S.

Are there any resources I should know about for getting these things?

you could consider backing everything up and then reinstalling everything?

I had minor problems with my phone so backed up the lot, reinstalled everything and then backed up the second everything was as it was - the phone is a lot more responsive and smooth and I have a really good backup to rely on if anything goes wrong?
