Guest chucky.egg Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Just spoke to my company account guy at O2 and he mentioned that the Hermes is not expected to release on O2 before the end of November 2006. We haven't been with O2 long enough to know how reliable this sort of info is, and I know that the End Of Line dates (not exactly comparable) they gave us for other handsets were way out.

I wonder whether they'll drop their extortionate data charges to go with it...
Guest Rob.P Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) Every O2 person I have spoken too, hasn't been able to or has told me that they aren't doing it. I've just asked for my PAC, they were bending over backwards to keep me, I was insistent on the Hermes and they seem pretty sure they weren't going to do it. On the other hand though I was speaking to lowly CS Reps, and they are notoriously treated like mushrooms when it comes to product information. Knowing my luck, just after I have transferred my number to T-Mobile, O2 will probably announce the release  Edited October 20, 2006 by Rob.P

Guest chucky.egg Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 You're doing the right thing though, moving to T-mobile Without question, if affordable data is of any interest to you. We've gone to O2 at work because in our area they offer the best coverage, but my personal contract moved from Orange to T some months ago. No regrets at all
Guest Rob.P Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Aye, the data tariff was definately a large incentive, it didn't take much to persuade me to move  Just wish the flippin thing would hurry up and arrive now, stock came in yesterday (why do people torture me so, I want me new toy).
