Many thanks for your help with my previous question. I now have a problem concerning email, I always used to use the outgoing server as smtp.orange.net to send my email (im a blueyonder user) using GPRS, now this seems not to work, when I use smtp.blueyonder.co.uk, the email just bounces back when using GPRS but not wifi, so could someone explain what i am doing wrong. Also the email recieveing is fine

Many thanks

Rob

When you use wifi (presumably at home) you are using your blueyonder internet connection as if you were sending your email from your PC. that's why you need to use Blueyonder's smtp server..

When you use GPRS/3G, you use TMobile's or Orange's network, hence the need to use their smtp server.

his right chances are blueyonder blocks sending of email from a non blueyonder address (this is done to stop people using someone elses mail server to send spam it also means that tracking email abuse issues is easier as the only people allowed to use by mail server are by customers)
