Guest robcoh Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Many thanks for your help with my previous question. I now have a problem concerning email, I always used to use the outgoing server as smtp.orange.net to send my email (im a blueyonder user) using GPRS, now this seems not to work, when I use smtp.blueyonder.co.uk, the email just bounces back when using GPRS but not wifi, so could someone explain what i am doing wrong. Also the email recieveing is fine Many thanks Rob

When you use GPRS/3G, you use TMobile's or Orange's network, hence the need to use their smtp server.
Guest mattie01 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 his right chances are blueyonder blocks sending of email from a non blueyonder address (this is done to stop people using someone elses mail server to send spam it also means that tracking email abuse issues is easier as the only people allowed to use by mail server are by customers)
