Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Does your Start Menu show Letters instead of Numbers? The reason for this is due to the phone pairing with certain Bluetooth devices for example Sony Ericsson headset. The pairing of this device actually changes the registry and creates a new entry which makes the the menu show letters instead of numbers To registry change is as follows. You may need to create the DWORD registry key if itis not available. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\HasKeyBoard the value shown will be 1 so you need to change this to 0 Next reboot phone and everythings back to normal If this fix does not work first time then remove the pairing of the headset before making the registry change. Thanks to bbrockie for the fix
