Hello,

I've on my Smartphone, (HTC TyTn Hermes (Qtek 9600)) many video player, Core player, TCMP.....

I've a problem, when I play a video, Its impossible to advance the video, Then lag and the sound lags....

When I want use on full screen, if I return on little screen, Its the same problem. The video and sound lags.

Have you an idea about that?

Thanks.

Indeed, the problem with the ATi ImageOn processor in TCPMP / CorePlayer is a known issue. The only half-good workaround I've found so far is to use the raw framebuffer in TCPMP, I'm not paying for CorePlayer until it works properly on my device :)

HTC TyTN/Hermes users: Here is how to play AVC/x.264 encoded files on Hermes with CorePlayer 1.04 with ATI Imageon 2282 Acceleration Enabled and almost no screen garbage in GUI and NO screen garbage in full screen mode.

When Encoding files, make sure you set output to be exactly 320x240. For audio use MP3 128kbps stereo or less and for video bitrate use ~500kbit, this gives almost perfect picture. You can try 300 or 400kbps to see if you like it, even in case of 300kbps quality is pretty good.

You can use free VirtualDub and free x.264 codec OR "ImTOO MP4 Video Converter".

How to setup CorePlayer: Menu, Options, Orientation - set upper and lower to Right-Handed. Menu, Tools, Preferences, Select Page, Video: Video Output-ATI Imageon, Quality-High, Smooth Zoom-ON, Enable Dither, Enable Acceleration. Select Page, Advanced: Enable "Slow Video Memory" and Enable "Disable AVC deblocking filter". Select Page, ATI Imgeon: Enable all options. Click OK and that's it. When you open a file, it will be rotated, but that (surprisingly) fixes almost all screen garbage that you would get if the picture was oriented portrait. Tap the screen to watch the movie in landscape mode and enjoy perfect picture and accelerated playback :-)

If you accidentally open DivX movie and screen gets distorted, just tap lower-right part of screen where "View" button is located, this toggles View mode, one of the modes does not contain preview window and picture will return to normal allowing you to change video renderer to Raw FrameBuffer.
