Guest alfi99 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 (edited) I have a Qtek 8310, with the following system:ROM version: 2.0.9.0 Operator version: 2.5.311.2 OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0) I have around 0.97 MB free space out of 17.95 MB. Free memory (currently) 17.69 MB out of 45.05 MB. My problem is that I have on several occasions needed to restart my device due to low memory (2-8 MB free) this happens when the device has been running for days, after this restart several things happens: - The memory freed up and I have around 22 MB free memory. - Recently recieved SMS/MMS are gone, on some occasions 14 days of SMS' are gone. - Previously deleted mails/MMS/SMS are back in the inbox, eventhough they have been deletede and emptied from the thrash. - MMS/SMS that where previuosly stored in drafts but deleted are also back, the same goes for sent items. There could be two solutions for this: a fix so my device doesn't run out of memory, eventhough I close all programs or a proper fix that doesn't screw up my inbox and so on after a restart. Preferably both fixes should be used. Does any other Qtek 8310 owners have this problem? Has anyone found a fix? Regards Nick Edited October 23, 2006 by alfi99
Guest alfi99 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Can nobody help with this or say they have had the same problems?
Guest jimbouk Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Reboots usually restore deleted messages and lose recently received ones. Although its usually only the last few hours worth. With regard to memory - what have you got installed? You shouldn't be running that low.
Guest alfi99 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 I have the following programs installed: - Activekitten Chronos - Commontime mNotes - Oxios Closeapps - Oxios Hibernate My guess of course is that commontime, which lets me synchronise with my Notes calender and contacts, slowly but surely eats away at my memory. Is there any way that I can make the deleted mails/sms/mms permanently go away? /nick
Guest jimbouk Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 The database of messages should clear itself after a set time. I guess one of your apps is stopping that from happening. If you didnt need to reset so often, it wouldn't be a problem. If you think it is commontime, try uninstalling that and see if the device is better?
