Guest Funster Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I just came across what I think is a new bug. I dialled an international number and connected, but when I tried to hang up I couldn't end the call. After repeatedly tapping the end call key with no luck, I then held it down, which put the keypad lock on. I unlocked it, pressed the home key and went back to the home screen which showed call in progress, tried the end call key again but finally resorted to removing the battery. I called Orange and they said they have never heard of this problem on a SPV, my details were passed to technical support and they should be getting back to me. Anyone else come across this?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 A similar bug has been reported but not to that extreme What was the call charge for just trying to diconnect?
Guest mikey808 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I've had very similar problems, but no experience as to whether an international call can be worse.
Guest Funster Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 Well, I was calling Italy, so that's 20p a minute. I think I spent about 20 seconds trying to end the call so it's only 6.7p, which is no big deal. But what if I hadn't noticed, could have turned out to be very expensive. So now I am having to double check all my calls are ending before the phone goes back in my pocket. Not ideal.
Guest frijj2k Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 I noticed from day one of having my SPV that sometimes it doesnt hang calls up properly. Sometimes I have to press cancel call several times before it works. Other times it works first time?!?!? Quite worrying if it leaves it connected and you have to remove the battery though! :? Dave
