Hi members,

Been a while since i visited this forum but i find myself here again to pick the brains of the knowledgeable in regards to this subject. I have been trying for what seems an eternity to set this baby up to sync via bluetooth dongle on my Laptop. I am using the microsoft stack which so far has been successful in establishing a GPRS connection to my laptop but not activesync. I have searched her initially and found nothing. searches on Google reveal outdated guides to WM 2003 powered devices but imeasurably hard to understand.

Quick question can someone assist me set this function up or point me at a decent guide to assist.

Kind Regards,

EFM.

The blueSoleil software makes this so easy, Download it here >LINK<.

I got copy free with my dongle but depending on what dongle you have you may need to pay for it as you can see from the webpage

Not sure how much it costs though

Thanks for your reply. I have a belkin bluetooth dongle class 2 which uses the Microsoft enumerator stack. I have used this to connect to a c500 via bluetooth fine but this will not. Are you saying that there is an inbuilt fault with the xda which prevents normal bluetooth activesync? I find it hard to believe this so called evolved WM5 device cannot do that (but i suppose with Ms nothing is impossible lol). Any where else i can try i just really want advise to set up the inbuilt bluetooth stack not buy another. The mobile seller in the shop assured me this device would connect to a PC via bluetooth. He did not however mention purchasing other software to do so.

Kind Regards,

EFM.

Thanks.

As promised,

Adobe Reader needed:

BT_ActiveSync.pdf

Good luck!

Thanks Mandt I see the problem right away. Dont know if there is a remedy for this. The com ports i can select in Activesync on the computer and in blue soleil only start in this order com's - 3,4,9,11,12,13,14,15 etc up to 18. I can not select ports 6, or 7, 8 etc as they do not show up there. Any ideas how to make em' show up. I guess these ports may have previously been assigned to something but the only thing i can think of that i recently tried to BT Sync with was my satnav BT receiver. Having said this i uninstalled all previous bluetooth drivers and bonds etc. I dont recall ever actually seeing these ports (6-7) anytime. activesync by wire sync's through com3 that i know. This has always been present. This is a nightmare grrrrrr...

Thanks for the guide though, it was appreciated. Any other ideas would also be! lol

Kind regards,

EFM

Sorry mate, I don't know why the COM ports wouldn't show up. I have installed the software a few times for different PCs and different phones and never had this problem

Hopefully someone else here knows the answer

There is something similar in Blue Soleil to what i wrote in the above URL, but I can not remember the exact format.

Any COM port be OK really, as long as it is not above 10 i believe it is..?

Hi

Thanks for replying to my post. I had no luck trying to configure the blue soliel dongle. I then uninstalled everything. rebooted and in command line got all unplugged items to display and uninstalled everything bluetooth. I then went into regedit and deleted all com ports there. > rebooted and tried the belkin dongle. Tried all ports from 3 - 10 no luck gave up after that re your last comment re under port 10 etc. I am trying to configure a compact pressario R3000 laptop with a F8T003 Belkin dongle w/ MS stack. Any other advise or things to try.. there must be a way of doing this. Whenever i try to connect the ppc to pc via active sync only services offered in all ports apart from 3 was serial tickbox

many thanks.
