changing today screen theme

Hi All,

i would like to change my today screen theme but my phone won't let me.

i go to start, settings, today and then can scroll down a short list of themes but my phone won't let me change them-i keep ending up with a sort of basic blue screen-which i suppose is the default windows one. i have tried downloading new ones and installing them but they don't work either-neither do the preinstalled ones like guava bubbles. i have looked in the windows folder and can see the tsk files there but my phone just doesn't seem interested. is there anything i can do? i know it isn't serious but.....well i just want to!!!!
