Unlocking C600 to all networks

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me, I am still trying to unlock my C600 to all networks (SIM unlock).

Is flashing with the Imate SP5 ROM really the only way to unlock these phones to all networks?

Hopefully there is an easier way?

If not, I found this page: http://wiki.spv-developers.com/Flashing_C600_to_SP5_ROM but cannot see how to do this since the downloads from the clubimate ftp are .exe and dont have the component nk.nbf files etc?

I also found this page that has the Orange ROM to flash back again to after removing the cruddy RegeditSTG block: http://wiki.spv-developers.com/Patched_C600_ROM

Hopefully someone will know the solution to this then others can benefit from this thread and not be close to throwing their phone out of the window like me <_<

 :( OH YOU BEAUTY!! :) ;)

Just got it working! Tested it out on a Vodafone sim card.

Here is what I did, hopefully this is of use to people.

1) Sent an email to [email protected] containing:

My full name

The Mobile Number of the SPV to be unlocked and region i.e. UK

Model number of phone i.e. Orange SPV C600

IMEI: number - just type *#06# on your phone to find this.

ROM update version (found under settings then system information on the phone)

Daytime Contact Number:

Daytime email address:

You get an email back in around 4-5 days with a tool that application unlocks your phone so you can run unsigned programs.

2) Get the SPV services zip from here: http://www.spv-developers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236

3) Copy the Cert.cab file to your storage card via Activesync

4) On the phone run file manager, browse to storage card, switch to list view and select the .cab file to install it. Leave the phone connected to the pc via USB cable.

5) Now run SPVServices.exe on your PC (you need to have access to the internet)

6) Click SIMLOCK tool menu over on the left of the page that comes up and follow the instructions.

7) Shout hurrah.

Actually I'm not entirely sure if you need to have an application unlocked phone to do the stuff from step 2) onwards maybe someone could test and tell me? It might work without being app unlocked? ;)

I originally got the phone app unlocked as I was following other instructions that said you had to edit the registry but that didnt work in the end.

Beware buying unlock stuff from ebay as its just this same app which you can get for free!

I gave them the current Orange number - they'd probably shoot you if you gave them a Vodaphone one or something hehe

Tested!

I have a C600 with the latest rom update, thanks to this thread it is now sim unlocked. (thanks, I owe you a pint!)

But, it is still app locked and was before I followed your instructions, so it DOES work without being app unlocked.

Can you send the pint via email? :) :D
