Homebrew Virgin!

Heya Folks,

I've never tried homebrew but in the latest edition of "psm3"(magazine) it shows how to get the original doom on psp with a step by step account. It sounds hard and obviously, as i've never tried it before i am warey.

For those of you that have; If i get it wrong will it be costly?? My psp is running the current version (2.80) It says at time of press it hadn't been cracked... Has it yet?? If not how do i go about down grading so that my system will be compatable for homebrew?? ( as i don't want to go through the whole proccess to find out it doesn't work,, especially as i'm unsure about how to do it ) How long have you been using homebrew?? I understand that you can get much advantage from using it do they all function pretty much the same?? ( getting the files onto psp??)

Any handy hints would be much appreciated, thankyou.

I would be grateful for any replies to my questions as i'm eager to try Homebrew.

Unlike you sprint media not to post in a few days. Especially when its about homebrew lol

When you have time anyway no rush. I still have the magazine so i can do it when ever.

Oh if anybody wants the step by step including the web address all you have to do is ask and i'll post them.

Hi mate,

No homebrew opn any 2.8x at the moment. It might be cracked but I wouldnt hold my breath. I would sell the device and then get another one running V2.71 or below.

If you knew what one can run on these devices you would do it.

Its an immature site in many respects but they host the goodies and the news is generally reliable. (not 100%)

I h8te SONY especially after lik-sang fiasco. Somehow, in the last month I have ended up with PSP, w850i and now a vaio laptop.

So there isn't a way to downdate ( not sure if thats a word??) your psp. I'll go and check out that site now. cheers mate.

gutted, i got my psp at christmas with FW 2.7x on it, but it came with Grand Theft Auto: VCS, which it wouldnt let me play until i updated the FW to 2.81 (which was on the UMD).

Had i known then, what i know now. I would have held off.

I believe that 2.81 has been cracked but wouldn't you know it, i went and upgraded before i found that out to FW 3.03 !!!!

Your not the only 1 !! I've gone and updated my PSP to version 3.03 aswell. Only the other day. AS i didnt think about the homebrew situation
