Guest davidjtaylor Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I've seen Voda, and Orange 3G data cards, and they're branded cards from Option technologies. Might be possible to buy one unconnected, but I would suspect they're close to the
Guest chetzy Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 I just wondered where i could get hold of one, never thought they would be that expensive. i could use bluetooth but wanted to use my laptops power supply without draining my phones battery using bluetooth. but i was just wondering if i connect through usb, will the phone charge from the laptop, thus giving me the advatages that the pcmcia data card would give me. dave ebay
Guest dhardy Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 ebay I bought a 3g hsdpa vodafone global connect card on ebay around 5 months ago for £50 delivered. Flash the current firmware into it from the vodafone site and use the current drivers from the vodafone site to install it. Download the v2.5 t-mobile communications centre software from: http://solutionspartners.t-mobile.co.uk/mo...html?page_id=98 Ignore the v2.7 software, it has dodginess issues ..... I rang support to help get it going, you need to set the APN somewhere (and NEVER run the vodafone software because it continually resets the APN back to the vodafone one) Works a treat with the linksys WRT54g3g wifi router! - cheapest I found was 99.99 + vat on pcwb.com.
