Not getting SMS/POP3/Push msg notifications :-(

I'm on my my second STRTRK (Cingular 3125) because the first one would randomly stop notifying me of SMS and other messages. The home screen would indicate I had messages, but regardless of the selected profile, I was not notified on their arrival.

Now my replacement phone is doing the same thing! Aaarrgh!

Even my "backstop" app (DontForget) isn't firing reminders.

Anyone else having similar problems?

NOTE: I'm not missing calls, which seemed to plague early-adopters of this model...
