webcam on spv

i was wondering if it is possible 2 turn the cam attachmet in2 a webcam 4 when ur chatting 2 ur m8s and wanna show them something? the software 4 this should not b hard 2 do i would of thought bu being some 1 with zero programing knoladge or skills i dont know but think it would b cool if we could do it ;) :lol: :lol:

The problem with that is that the camera runs over a serial interface, and is therefore verrrrry sloooow to transfer an image to the phone. IA Album has video recording functionality but the framerate, even at 160*120, isn't really useable. As for sending the data in real time I don't think the SPV would keep up; you'll have to wait for 3G! Oh, and your GPRS charges would go through the roof!

LOL i never thought bout the charges but as regards 2 the frame rate webcams never have a good frame rate 2 start with but it was just a idea hehehehe

my philips tucam gives very good frame rates

but the webcam software that came with it was naff

yeah so does my logitech3000 pro but when u use it in a chat room like yahoo msger it is quite low but anyway it looks like it not a verry good option so never mind ;)
