HTC Breeze/MTeoR preproduction (i think so) ROM update?

Hi all. This is my first post here and I'm sure i need your help.

I write from Poland - I work as a clerk in one of warsaw hotels. Few months ago we had few groups coming

(mostly from US), and someone left a HTC Breeze in hotel lobby. Few months passed, nobody asked for it... and I recieved it as a finder.

I have only main unit - no battery charger, memory card, headphones etc. I can charge it trough miniDisc USB cable, and ActveSync works trough it perfectly.

Problem begins when I try to update ROM on this device.

Menu Start / Settings / About shows this:

OS 5.1.195 (Build 14928.2.2.0)

Radio Version 0

RIL Version 2.002

Operator/Manufacturer/Microsoft/Language/File System: 5.1.195.14928

Menu Start / Settings / System Information shows this:

ROM version: 0.94.00 ENG

Model No.: BREE100

Protocol version: 32.23.50W

Radio version: 0.92.00.00

ActiveSync connects without any problems. In Menu Start i have DEBUG folder and inside Regeditor, so application unlock is possible and very easy. I downloaded 2 ROM updates:

-1- dopod 1.15.707.3 WWE

-2- i-mate SP JAS 1.15.301.0

When i try to flash device with any of them it finds my device, restart it in 3-color screen. After that i see information on host PC that operation will take around 25 minutes, screen on smartphone changes to "0% Upgrade Image Completed" and host PC show "262 Update Error"... thats all i can get.

After that i can restart smartphone (battery out) and it will restart in 3-color mode. Now I can either:

-1- run RUU once again and it makes same progress and stops again with "262 Update Error"

-2- or disable ActiveSync, run mtty.exe and type first USB command, then "set 14 0" and device will restart back to windows mobile like it was before running RUU.

Thats what i found in ruu.log on c:\ partition:

First i think this is US preproduction unit - it was in our Lost and Found office few months, and Mteor is shipped to europe right now so i believe it have to be this version.

Second - I was trying to update CID on it with SPV-services, but it gives me error "Invalid Storage Manager header" and thats all i can get.

I have no idea what to do next. I dont have a memory card and i dont want to buy one if it will not help to update this rom (i will need to spend money on other card type for other phone if i cant update ROM on this unit). No idea how to get this update to work and if anybody can help me with it, please post in this topic.

I have this problem. I have tested version MTeoR with ROM version 0.94 ENG, and when I can flash New ROM, ERROR 262 ;) . Where I can download old version 0.94 ENG please help. PS: In other tested models, the flashing was succefull, I don't understand this :D

Unfortunately, preproduction bootloaders lack the 'wdatah' command used by ROM updates so its impossible to upgrade the ROM by the normal method.

I'll post instructions later, just about to nip out to the shops ;)

Ok extract your ROM update using winRAR (right click on the exe and choose one of the winRAR extract options)

Format you microsd card in fat32

copy the NBH file extracted from the exe across to the SD card

rename it BREEIMG.NBH

Put it in the phone

start the phone in bootloader (hold camera and plug into the usb)

it will as you if you wish to update the ROM :D

Ok, but its is interesting, becouse, the tested ROM 0.94 ENG, doesnt go, ist tested ROM. I try your metode.

I think, that smart is dead forevermore, becouse it wont to conect whith activesyns, whith computer. And small question, how can i extract exe file?????? your metode. and what is bootlander???? ;)

When I put mico sd with BREEIMG.NBH file in boot loader mode phone show me this messege:first: "loading" then: "checking" and finally: "00028002 Not allow" and he back to boot loaedr. please help me.
