Every turn-on Connecting

Most times when I press the standby button a second to bring back to life, the Vario II says 'connecting to online service', I close this then find Favourites opened, close this then can continue. I have no softkeys or buttons assigned for going online. Also opens up in Landscape sometimes. I actually did a hard reset recently and it still happens. Any reason this should be happening?

The only occurances of opening in landscape I've come across are where people are using cases with magnetic catches (particularly the supplied one) - they affect the reed switch which determines whether the keyboard is in or out.

As to the connection have you got any software installed that calls the web - e.g. a weather app or do you have polling set for pop3 email?

Only software is Batti, Invaders and .net2, wouldnt think any of these call internet. Am using heavy case though!
